Specialist doctors who wish to remain recognised as training supervisors or members of a training service must meet certain conditions relating to education, supervision and guidance of assistants.
FMS organises the annual “Teach The Teacher” webinar so that training supervisors and training coordinators can receive further training in pedagogical and didactic skills.

Biographies of the speakers
em.Prof.Dr. Constantinus Politis
em.Prof.Dr. C. Politis is emeritus at KULeuven University. Throughout his academic and clinical career, he has been involved in medical education, mentorship and training of young specialists. He was elected President of FMS since 2024.
Prof. Dr. Lode Godderis
Prof. Dr. Lode Godderis is Professor of Occupational Medicine at KU Leuven and CEO of IDEWE (external service for prevention and protection at work). His research focuses on wellbeing, mental health, and sustainable employability in the workplace. He is widely recognized for his expertise on changing work cultures and generational dynamics in healthcare.
Mrs. Trees Claes
Trees Claes holds a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences and works as a senior consultant and leadership expert, specializing in workplace wellbeing, communication, and team dynamics. She supports organizations and leaders in creating resilient and collaborative work environments. With extensive experience in coaching and organizational development, she helps bridge generational differences within professional teams.
